Incheon Songdo 6·8 Gonggu Infrastructure Construction Progressing Smoothly... Phase 3 to Start in First Half of This Year

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Park Hyesook] Infrastructure construction, including roads, utility tunnels, and transportation facilities, for the convenience of residents in Districts 6 and 8 of Songdo International City in the Incheon Free Economic Zone (IFEZ) is progressing smoothly.
The Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority announced on the 16th that the third phase of infrastructure construction (8.5 km) in Districts 6 and 8 began in the first half of this year and is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2022.
The infrastructure construction is being carried out in three phases according to the move-in plans of residents in Songdo Districts 6 and 8. Phase 1 (6.8 km) was completed in May 2017, and Phase 2 (5.7 km) is currently underway with a target completion date of August next year.
During the third phase, the Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority plans to open a total of 21 km of roads to improve living conditions by enabling convenient passage for nearby apartment residents.

An official from the Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority stated, "We will do our best to ensure that the third phase of infrastructure construction starts smoothly in the first half of the year and that residents do not experience any inconvenience."
