This temporary increase in flights is analyzed to be due to the rising preference for domestic travel, including Jeju Island, amid entry bans on passengers from Korea by various countries and the global spread of COVID-19. An Air Busan official explained, "On the 11th, the average load factor on the Busan~Jeju route reached 92%, exceeding last year's level."
