Gwanak-gu Launches Handwritten Campaign to Support Overcoming COVID-19
Gwanak-gu Calli Sarang Volunteer Group Launches Support Campaign to Overcome COVID-19... Delivering Messages of Hope to All Residents via SNS (Social Networking Service)
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] "We are a people who can overcome any adversity. Right?", "Let's overcome COVID-19 and go enjoy the spring flowers together."
The Calligraphy Volunteer Group of Gwanak-gu (Mayor Park Jun-hee) is sharing warm hearts by creating and sharing encouraging messages in beautiful handwritten calligraphy to overcome the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
At a time when the entire nation is suffering from stress and pain due to the impact of COVID-19 infection, they comforted each other's hearts by sharing postcards containing beautiful handwritten messages of encouragement and warm drawings.
The encouragement campaign is conducted by posting calligraphy messages of hope to overcome COVID-19 on one's own SNS (social networking service), allowing others to voluntarily share them.
The Calligraphy Love Volunteer Group consists of graduates who completed the professional volunteer training at the Gwanak-gu Volunteer Center, starting with the first group in January 2017, and currently 59 members are active.
They express their gratitude by creating menu boards and information boards in calligraphy for "Good Neighbor Stores," which are excellent volunteer discount stores in the region, and engage in various talent-sharing activities such as volunteering at the Gwanak Senior Welfare Center's Happiness Sharing Bazaar and operating booths at the Volunteer Pledge Walking Contest.
