Dobong-gu Unifies Public Mask Sales Start Time to 4 PM
Posted 'Mask Sales Time Guide Poster' at Pharmacy Entrance to Minimize Resident Inconvenience... Launched 'Cotton Mask Wearing' Campaign for Public Officials... From the 12th, Dobong Fire Station Volunteer Firefighters to Support Public Mask Sales at Pharmacies
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Dobong-gu (Mayor Dongjin Lee) unified the public mask sales time to 4 PM starting from the 11th to alleviate residents' inconvenience caused by the public mask 5-day rotation system.
To this end, the district consulted with the Dobong-Gangbuk Pharmaceutical Association, and among the 114 pharmacies selling public masks in Dobong-gu, 97 pharmacies sell public masks at 4 PM. However, some pharmacies that do not sell masks at 4 PM have posted 'Public Mask Sales Time Guide Posters' indicating their sales hours to reduce confusion.
Furthermore, to ensure smooth sales of public masks, starting from the 12th, sales support personnel were assigned to local pharmacies. Through a pharmacy manpower support survey, 15 volunteer firefighters from the Dobong Fire Station assist with mask sales guidance at 15 pharmacies. The volunteer firefighters support for 3 hours daily from 3 PM to 6 PM, and the district plans to deploy additional volunteers to pharmacies upon request.
The district is also conducting a 'Wear Cloth Masks' campaign targeting public officials as part of the 'Mask Sharing' movement for residents who truly need to purchase health masks. Since healthy individuals with less public contact and lower infectivity can prevent infection with cloth masks, the campaign aims to allow vulnerable groups such as the elderly with relatively weaker immunity to purchase more health masks.
