US Weekly Initial Jobless Claims at 211,000, Below Market Expectations
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Cheol-young] The number of weekly unemployment insurance claims in the United States, which ended on the 7th, fell short of market expectations.
On the 12th (local time), the U.S. Department of Labor announced that the number of unemployment insurance claims last week decreased by 4,000 from the previous week to 211,000 (seasonally adjusted).
This is lower than the Wall Street Journal (WSJ) forecast of 219,000.
The previous week's weekly unemployment insurance claims were revised down from 216,000 to 215,000.

Meanwhile, the 4-week moving average of unemployment insurance claims increased by 1,250 to 214,000. The number of weekly unemployment insurance claimants for more than one week as of the 29th of last month was recorded at 1,722,000, down 12,000.
