Boseong-gun Plans to Distribute One Mask Per Resident
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Yongchul] On the 12th, Boseong-gun, Jeollanam-do announced that it has partnered with local volunteer organizations to produce cloth masks in order to stabilize mask supply.
About 50 talent-sharing volunteers from 10 volunteer organizations, including the Boseong-gun Women's Association and the Consumer Education Central Association Boseong Branch, are participating in this mask production activity. The county plans to produce 42,000 masks by the 20th and distribute one mask per resident.
The cost of producing the masks will be fully supported by Boseong-gun using disaster management funds.
County Governor Kim Cheol-woo said, “I sincerely thank the volunteers who took the lead in donating their talents for the residents. We will respond to COVID-19 with a two-track approach by both working to block the virus and revitalize the economy, sharing the inconveniences and hardships of the residents.”

Meanwhile, Boseong-gun initially provided 110,000 masks to vulnerable groups at the end of January, urgently supplied 50,000 cloth masks to all residents on the 5th of last month, 2,000 masks to high-risk groups such as pregnant women on the 5th of this month, and 700 masks to island areas.
