Suncheon-si Conducts Emergency Disinfection in Vulnerable Work Environments Including Call Centers
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] Suncheon City, Jeollanam-do announced on the 12th that it is conducting emergency inspections and disinfection of offices with work environments vulnerable to infectious diseases, such as call centers where workers are densely concentrated.
As COVID-19 cluster infections have occurred consecutively at call centers located in Seoul and Daegu, Suncheon City has taken preemptive disinfection measures targeting insurance company call centers located within the city.
The city health center completed disinfection on the 11th for two insurance company call centers located in a building in Yeonhyang-dong, assigned dedicated public officials to monitor the situation, and reported that there are currently no symptomatic individuals. Additionally, continuous monitoring and regular disinfection of the building will be carried out.
Currently, the Suncheon City Health Center and the Eup/Myeon/Dong Administrative Welfare Centers are conducting preemptive promotional activities and disinfection support by visiting densely populated office spaces and multi-use facilities. In particular, to ensure safe use of public transportation, taxi disinfection booths are being operated, and regular vehicle disinfection and driver monitoring are being strengthened for city buses.
