Kim Tae-o, Chairman of DGB Financial, Joins Campaign to Support Flower Farmers
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Min-young] DGB Financial Group announced on the 11th that Chairman Kim Tae-oh has joined the 'Save Flower Farms Campaign.'
The Save Flower Farms Campaign is being conducted to help flower farms struggling due to reduced flower sales caused by the cancellation or downsizing of various events and gatherings such as graduation ceremonies, entrance ceremonies, and congratulatory meetings amid the impact of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
Prominent figures are leading by example by purchasing flowers and other floral products from related businesses to encourage consumption, while also nominating the next relay participants to raise overall awareness.
Chairman Kim, who was nominated by Kim Soon-duk, President of the Daegu Branch of the Women Entrepreneurs Association, and participated in this campaign, said, "All local residents who are bravely facing COVID-19 deserve bouquets of congratulations and encouragement," adding, "We are exploring various ways at the bank level to consume flowers, including sending flowers of encouragement to DGB Daegu Bank branches that have been closed due to quarantine measures caused by COVID-19."
