University Students' Social Participation and Community Development Agreement Signed
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Yoon Jamin] Chosun Institute of Science and Technology (President Jo Soon-gye) announced on the 11th that it has signed a business agreement with the Gwangju Metropolitan City Volunteer Center to "realize a happy Gwangju community through university students' social participation and volunteer work."
Attending the signing ceremony were President Jo Soon-gye, Chae Jong-soon, Director of the Gwangju Metropolitan City Volunteer Center, and other related officials.
The agreement was promoted to contribute to university students' social participation and regional community development by establishing a network in the Gwangju area for university students' volunteer activities, promoting social participation, and fostering a culture of practicing love for neighbors through cooperative projects.
The agreement includes ▲ sharing information and jointly promoting programs related to the operation of the Chosun Institute of Science and Technology Social Service Group and the Bitgoeul Youth Volunteer Group ▲ activating recruitment for participation and providing information ▲ providing incentives for outstanding volunteers and comprehensive insurance for volunteers ▲ developing and conducting volunteer programs ▲ performing public interest projects or volunteer activities for regional community development.

President Jo said, "Through this agreement, our university and the Gwangju Metropolitan City Volunteer Center aim to take the lead in practicing sharing and giving for the local community," and added, "Our university will further expand human and material exchanges for student social participation and volunteer work, and strive to fulfill the university's social responsibilities by serving marginalized groups in the local community."
