Minister Lee Jeong-ok Urgently Inspects 'Danuri Call Center' Amid Guro-gu Cluster Infection
Reorganization of Counselor Work Shifts
Zigzag Seat Assignment
Provision of One Headset per Person
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Hyun-joo] On the 11th at 2:30 PM, Lee Jung-ok, Minister of Gender Equality and Family, will visit the Danuri Call Center located in Mapo-gu, Seoul, to inspect compliance with infection prevention guidelines related to the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
Since January 27, the Danuri Call Center has been supporting three-way interpretation linked with the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency's 1339 hotline by utilizing specialized counseling staff composed of marriage immigrants. It also actively provides interpretation services to public health centers and the Central Medical Center. To date, it has supported interpretation for 1,307 cases.
To prepare for concerns about COVID-19 infection in the environment where counselors work in the same space, the counselor work shifts have been reorganized so that seats are occupied with one seat apart and arranged in a zigzag pattern to maintain distance between counselors. Additionally, each counselor uses an individual headset, and when shifts change, all items such as computers, telephones, and mice must be disinfected.
