Woori Financial Group Provides Group Training Center as COVID-19 Residential Treatment Facility
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Hyo-jin] Woori Financial Group announced on the 11th that it will provide the group training center located in Anseong, Gyeonggi Province, as a COVID-19 residential treatment center.
According to Woori Financial, this plan was decided last month by the 'COVID-19 Response Committee,' which includes CEOs of group companies under the direction of Chairman Sohn Tae-seung. Woori Financial is conducting facility inspections with Anseong City and Gyeonggi Province.
The Woori Financial Anseong training center has a total of 102 rooms, 300 beds, and internal cooking facilities. Woori Financial explained that since it is located in a suburban area with few residents, it is suitable as a COVID-19 residential treatment center.
A Woori Financial official said, "As COVID-19 intensified, all group employees' collective training sessions were postponed to the second half of the year last month, so there is no problem in providing the training center."
On the 10th, Woori Financial also attended a meeting related to COVID-19 residential treatment centers hosted by the relevant authorities along with major conglomerates. To overcome the national crisis, the company plans to take the lead in fulfilling social responsibility by mobilizing all available resources at the group level, as well as providing various financial supports as a financial company.
