On the 11th, LG Electronics announced the domestic release of the 'LG OLED AI ThinQ' model. This product won the 'Best of the Best' award in the TV category at the CES 2020 earlier this year. On this day, the 65- and 55-inch new models were first released domestically, and the lineup will be expanded to include the 77-inch model next month.
Starting with this, new products featuring the 'Gallery Design' will also be introduced in Korea and the United States by the end of this month. The Gallery Design is characterized by integrating the screen, drive unit, speakers, and wall-mount components all inside without external devices. Unlike conventional wall-mounted types, the entire TV is attached flush to the wall, enhancing immersion and space utilization.
◆Smarter with Artificial Intelligence (AI) Installed= The LG OLED AI ThinQ unveiled on this day applies the more powerful AI processor 'Alpha 9 Gen 3.' This processor is based on deep learning technology that analyzes over one million video data and more than 17 million audio data.
The 'AI Picture Pro' function automatically distinguishes video genres such as movies, sports, and animation to provide optimal picture quality. Through proprietary 'upscaling' technology, it delivers clearer images. It recognizes human faces and text to display sharp screens.
The 'AI Sound Pro' function also features converting 2-channel audio sources into virtual 5.1 surround sound. It automatically distinguishes five genres?news, movies, music, dramas, and sports?to deliver customized sound. In news videos, it makes the announcer's voice clearer, and in sports broadcasts, it enhances the sense of being on-site.
◆Providing Optimal Environments Tailored to Lifestyles such as Gaming and Movies= The new product reflects customers' lifestyles as much as possible. It offers the optimal environment for consumption, from watching broadcasts to gaming and video content.
The product supports industry-leading gaming features, accurately expressing color and contrast changes through the OLED TV's advantage of fast screen response speed. Users can enjoy high-spec games without screen lag.
The industry's first applied 'NVIDIA' graphics 'G-Sync Compatible' function synchronizes the refresh rate of external device graphics cards and the TV screen, minimizing screen tearing caused by differing refresh rates.
The new product is also perfect for high-quality video streaming services. It supports 'Dolby Vision IQ,' which provides optimal images according to ambient brightness and genre, as well as 'Filmmaker Mode,' which preserves the director's intended colors and atmosphere, offering viewers a more vivid experience.

While watching the TV screen, users can check and control the status of home appliances at a glance via remote control or voice commands.
The newly added 'LG Routine' function allows customers to control regularly used appliances all at once with a single phrase like "Good morning." For example, when leaving for work, turning off the air conditioner and air purifier and starting the robot vacuum cleaner can be done simultaneously.
LG Routine supports a total of three commands: two basic commands, 'Good morning' and 'Good night,' and one user-customizable command. Among the new products, higher-end models also support direct voice recognition without a remote control.
The domestically released products are linked with 'Naver Clova,' 'Google Assistant,' and 'Kakao i.' Customers can use Kakao AI speakers to perform basic TV controls and ask the AI speaker for weather, time, stock information, etc., and check the answers on the TV screen. Overseas released products can also be linked with Amazon Alexa.
LG Electronics is holding a cashback event for domestic customers who purchase new products by the end of this month, depending on the model. When purchasing any LG OLED TV model, including last year's products, customers will also receive a 6-month free subscription to the online streaming service 'Watcha Play.'
