Gwangju Dong-gu Calls for Applications for 'Humanities Club Support Project' Until the 31st
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Seon-gang] Dong-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City (Mayor Im Taek) announced on the 10th that it will open applications for the ‘2020 Dong-gu Humanities Club Support Project’ to enhance residents' humanities capabilities and spread the local humanities spirit.
This project was prepared to promote the normalization of humanities activities and encourage autonomous activities through support for the activation of humanities clubs.
Applicants must be groups of five or more members active within the district, either new or existing clubs that hold regular meetings continuously, such as studying selected topics.
Applications can be submitted by downloading the application form and other required documents from the district website by the 31st and sending them via email. Selected clubs will receive up to 1 million KRW to cover instructor fees, material costs, and other expenses necessary for learning.
Additionally, Dong-gu plans to support club learning activities by linking public facilities and private spaces within the district, and operate customized advanced learning such as workshops and expert lectures to promote systematic management and capacity building of the clubs.
A club presentation event to share the achievements of the humanities clubs is also scheduled to be held in September.
