Seongdong-gu Nurse Visits Pregnant Women and Mothers to Distribute Masks and Provide Health Consultations
Distributing 5 Masks Each to Pregnant Women and Families with Newborns Under 100 Days... Nurses Visit Homes for Health Consultations
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Seongdong-gu (Mayor Jeong Won-oh) is distributing masks directly to pregnant women and households with newborns under 100 days old (born after December 1, 2019) in the area, with nurses visiting them to provide masks and health consultations in response to the recent increase in confirmed cases among pregnant women.
Despite being a vulnerable group to COVID-19, pregnant women and new mothers who find it difficult to stand in long lines and feel anxious about crowded places are staying at home. This initiative aims to protect them from infection.
The district will provide a total of 12,500 masks, distributing 5 masks per household (3 adult masks and 2 child masks) to approximately 2,500 pregnant women and mothers within three months postpartum in the area.
In particular, nurses will visit in person and offer health consultations upon request.
Those who wish to receive masks and consultations can apply from the 10th to the 12th by contacting the Seongdong-gu Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters (2286-6881~8) or their local community service centers. Distribution will take place from the 13th to the 15th in order of application.
On the 5th, the district initially distributed one mask per household member at community service centers to help residents struggling with the mask shortage, and on the 9th, a second distribution was conducted for households that missed the first round, receiving great response from residents.
