This is the symbol of the 'golf legend' Arnold Palmer (USA), who passed away in 2016. It is the reason why the winner of the Arnold Palmer Invitational on the PGA Tour (total prize money $9.3 million), founded by Palmer in 1966, is given a red cardigan instead of a champion jacket. Tyrrell Hatton (England) was also dressed in the cardigan by Palmer's daughter Amy and grandson Sam Saunders immediately after his 'one-stroke victory' on the 9th (Korean time) at Bay Hill Golf Club in Orlando, Florida (par 72, 7,454 yards).

For Hatton, it added a special meaning as his first PGA Tour victory. He has been actively competing on the PGA Tour since 2017, and this came in just his 60th event. The winner's prize money was a whopping $1,674,000 (2 billion KRW), and as befitting a premium match, he secured a three-year tour card. Hatton appeared at the press conference wearing the cardigan and said, "There is a victory celebration planned tonight, but I won't wear it there," adding his special affection by saying, "I don't want to dirty the cardigan."
