Gyeonggi-do "Apply for Living Scholarships for Low-Income Children"... Until the 20th
[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Gyeonggi Province is accepting applications for the 'Living Scholarship for Children from Low-Income Families' until the 20th of this month.
The Living Scholarship for Children from Low-Income Families is a project utilizing the Ministry of Strategy and Finance's lottery fund. Eligible recipients are children of National Basic Livelihood Security recipients, self-supporting youth (legally designated near-poverty class, emergency welfare, Gyeonggi Province-type emergency welfare), and working youth.
Priority is given to those who have no prior experience receiving Gyeonggi Province youth scholarships, including academic scholarships and living scholarships.
The support amount is 700,000 KRW annually for middle school students and 1,000,000 KRW for high school students, provided in two installments of 50% each in April and September. Only one person per household is eligible.
Families wishing to apply for the living scholarship should submit their applications at the Dong Administrative Welfare Center of their resident registration address by the 20th.
