Yongsan-gu (District Mayor Seong Jang-hyun) has launched a ‘Customized Bidding Information Service’ to support small and medium-sized enterprises and small business owners in the area who are struggling due to COVID-19 and other challenges.
The service consolidates bidding and contract award information from various ordering organizations nationwide, including the Public Procurement Service (KONEPS), Ministry of National Defense, Korea Expressway Corporation, Korea Electric Power Corporation, POSCO, Korea Telecom, and apartment complexes, and provides it free of charge and in real time to local businesses, aiming to expand their opportunities to participate in projects.
The district established and began operating the related website (http://yongsan.bidpage.or.kr) earlier this month.
The menu is divided into ▲ Customized Service ▲ Facility Bidding ▲ Service Bidding ▲ Goods Bidding ▲ Sale Bidding ▲ Overseas Bidding.
The Customized Service classifies companies’ areas of interest and provides only the information necessary for each company. After registering as a member and setting interest keywords and customized emails, users can easily obtain the desired information.
The Facility Bidding menu allows users to search by type for general and specialized construction works, electrical, telecommunications, forestry, environmental, and other works. Related bidding and contract award announcements are also provided.
In the Service Bidding menu, users can check bidding information and announcements for engineering, supervision, design, safety inspection, research, academic, waste management, computer communications, and other fields.
The Goods Bidding menu provides bidding information and announcements for furniture, construction materials, landscaping, machinery and equipment, military supplies, and more.
Overseas bidding information, including that of the United States Forces Korea, can also be viewed in detail on the website.
Additionally, the district has placed information such as ‘Average Ratios of Business Conditions for General Construction Companies,’ ‘Bid Rates and Performance Multipliers,’ and a ‘Bidding Glossary’ on the website, allowing users to check complex bidding information whenever needed.
The system is also accessible via mobile devices.
The district plans to conduct two bidding training sessions for local small and medium-sized enterprises and small business practitioners in May and October. The training will cover the overview of bidding, understanding of announcements, determination of estimated prices (calculation of bid amounts), and will encourage registration in the district’s bidding information system.
Seong Jang-hyun, Mayor of Yongsan-gu, said, “Expanding participation in electronic bidding will not only increase corporate sales but also contribute to revitalizing the local economy. We hope all local companies will register in the system and enjoy its benefits.”

Besides operating the bidding information system, the district plans to prevent local economic downturn by employing all possible measures, including improving the private contract method (limiting the number of contracts per company, prioritizing discovery of local companies), prioritizing purchase of small and medium-sized enterprise products, providing loans to small and medium-sized enterprises, small business owners, and youth enterprises, and expanding public work projects.
