[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Jiwon] The total number of confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) reached 7,134 as of midnight on the 8th.
According to the Central Disease Control Headquarters on this day, the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases increased by 367 from midnight the previous day, totaling 7,134.
Among the 367 new confirmed cases, 326 were reported in Daegu and Gyeongbuk. Daegu accounted for 294 cases, and Gyeongbuk for 32 cases.
In addition, there were 12 cases in Seoul, 1 in Busan, 1 in Daejeon, 1 in Ulsan, 1 in Sejong, 12 in Gyeonggi, 1 in Gangwon, 5 in Chungbuk, 6 in Chungnam, and 1 in Gyeongnam.
The total number of COVID-19 deaths confirmed domestically so far is 50.
