Yeosu·Suncheon·Gwangyang Administrative Council Holds Joint Meeting for COVID-19 Response
Heo Seok, Suncheon Mayor, Proposes Emergency Council Meeting and Joint Agreement Signing
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] The Yeosu, Suncheon, and Gwangyang City Administrative Council held an emergency meeting on the 6th at the Gwangyang City Hall reception room to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 infectious disease and announced the signing of a 'Joint Response Business Agreement.'
At this agreement ceremony, initiated by the urgent proposal of Suncheon Mayor Heo Seok, the three cities sharing a common living area empathized with the crisis situation where one confirmed COVID-19 case occurred in each city, and promised to actively cooperate in joint response to prevent any further cases.
According to the agreement, the three cities of Yeosu, Suncheon, and Gwangyang will establish an organic cooperation system including preparing a pre-cooperation system to respond to additional infectious disease cases, sharing information on infectious disease patients and suspected patients, and joint quarantine consultations, and will jointly respond to prevent the spread of infectious diseases.
