Dongshin University Joins 'Good Rent Campaign'... Refunds Dormitory Fees to Enrolled Students
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Yoon Jamin] Dongshin University is participating in the 'Good Rent Movement' to support university building tenants struggling due to the COVID-19 pandemic and will refund about three weeks of dormitory fees to enrolled students.
Dongshin University (President Choi Il) announced on the 6th that it will not collect rent this month from 18 companies leasing and using university-owned buildings.
It plans to fully refund any rent already paid.
Additionally, the difference in dormitory fees caused by the delayed start of the semester and dormitory move-in will also be refunded to enrolled students.
Dongshin University postponed the semester start, originally scheduled for the 2nd, by two weeks, and decided to conduct online and remote classes for two weeks after the semester began, delaying dormitory move-in by four weeks.
By adjusting only the minimum academic schedule through make-up classes and assignment substitutions, the dormitory move-out date was postponed by one week, and the university plans to refund dormitory management fees and meal costs for three weeks.
