Jeongeup-si 'Good Price Store' Intensive Hygiene Disinfection Conducted Early
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Jaegil] Jeongeup City, Jeonbuk Province announced on the 6th that it conducted intensive hygiene disinfection (pest control, sterilization, deodorization) for three days starting from the 3rd targeting ‘Good Price Businesses’ in the region to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
The city carried out the disinfection activities about one month earlier than last year with the intention of alleviating the anxiety of customers using Good Price Businesses and preventing infections.
Good Price Businesses are establishments selected through strict screening to stabilize local prices, providing affordable prices, clean and safe environments, and friendly services. There are a total of 25 such businesses in the area, including 20 food service establishments and 5 beauty salons.
The city focused hygiene disinfection on kitchens, guest rooms, and restrooms within the establishments, and supported hand sanitizers and hand soaps so that visitors could use the facilities with peace of mind.
Additionally, for the health and safety of citizens, the city plans to regularly inspect the hygiene status of Good Price Businesses every month and continuously conduct quarterly hygiene disinfection to thoroughly manage the hygiene of these businesses.

A city official said, “We will strengthen the management of Good Price Businesses to improve service and hygiene cleanliness levels and promote local price stabilization,” and added, “Please support the revitalization of the local economy by using Good Price Businesses that are struggling due to COVID-19.”
Meanwhile, the city provides customized (requested) incentive items such as hygiene disinfection, electrical safety inspections, garbage bags, and aprons to the 25 Good Price Businesses contributing to local price stabilization.
