[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Jaegil] Gochang-gun, Jeonbuk announced on the 6th that it will reduce water and sewage charges for local small business owners who are struggling due to the spread of the COVID-19 infectious disease.
Based on the 'Act on the Protection and Support of Small Businesses,' the county plans to reduce water charges by 30% for March billing for small business owners with business sites in the jurisdiction (businesses with fewer than 5 regular employees / fewer than 10 for manufacturing, construction, transportation, and mining) whose 2019 sales were 300 million won or less, as well as new businesses (as of the end of February) in general use (excluding mixed-use) and public bathhouse categories.
Eligible small business owners can apply by submitting a reduction application form, a copy of their business registration certificate, and a value-added tax standard tax base certificate to the Water and Sewage Office or the relevant eup/myeon office by the 31st.
