[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Jonghyo] The 'Book Drive-thru,' a service where requested books are picked up from inside the car while passing through the entrance of the library parking lot, will be implemented for the first time in Busan.
The Busan Metropolitan Office of Education announced on the 6th that, due to the prolonged temporary closure of public libraries caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, the Book Drive-thru service will be available from the 9th at two public libraries: the Citizen Library and the Central Library.

Those who wish to use the service can apply for book loans through the bulletin boards on the Citizen Library and Central Library websites. Each person can borrow up to three books per week. Requested books must be picked up the next day; if not collected, the loan request will be canceled. Since this service is a special loan during the temporary closure period, it can be used regardless of the number of books currently borrowed or any loan suspensions due to overdue returns.
