Gas Gong Employees Donate 170 Million Won in COVID-19 Relief Funds to Daegu
Support for Essential Medical Equipment Such as Protective Suits, Goggles, and Masks for Medical Staff
[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Chaeseok] Korea Gas Corporation announced on the 6th that all employees voluntarily collected donations totaling 170 million won to be donated to the Daegu Metropolitan City Community Chest of Korea to overcome the crisis in the Daegu region caused by the spread of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
This fundraising campaign was conducted with the purpose of realizing social value by overcoming the difficulties faced by the local community together through a campaign in which labor and management participated with one heart.
The 170 million won donation will be used to supply medical equipment such as protective suits, goggles, and masks for medical staff in Daegu who are working hard on the front lines of COVID-19 patient treatment and quarantine, as well as to support the operation of residential treatment centers.
Chae Hee-bong, President of Korea Gas Corporation, said, "We sincerely thank the medical staff in Daegu who are struggling on the front lines for their hard work and dedication," and added, "All employees of the Gas Corporation will also actively participate in the nationwide donation relay to help medical staff focus on their work in a safer environment."

Following the support of 73,000 masks for vulnerable groups in the Daegu region last month, the Gas Corporation additionally provided 500,000 masks for Daegu citizens on the 3rd of this month.
