Boseong-gun Urgently Provides 2,000 Masks for Pregnant Women and High-Risk Groups
Priority Public Supply Support for 500 Medically Vulnerable Individuals
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Yong-chul] Boseong-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on the 5th that it will urgently provide 2,000 KF94 masks to high-risk groups such as pregnant women and cancer patients to prevent COVID-19.
Accordingly, starting from the 6th, masks will be distributed at the town and township health centers to about 500 people, including all pregnant women in the jurisdiction and cancer patients registered at the health centers, with up to 4 masks per person.
Pregnant women include those registered at the health center and postpartum women up to 6 months after childbirth. Pregnant women not registered at the health center can visit the health center with a maternity handbook or pregnancy confirmation certificate and an ID card.
Kim Cheol-woo, the governor of Boseong-gun, said, “In the situation where mask shortages are occurring due to COVID-19, we decided to prioritize providing masks to high-risk groups such as pregnant women and home-based cancer patients, who are medically vulnerable in the region. We will also do our best to secure public supply quantities so that masks can be supplied smoothly and strive to protect the safety and health of all residents.”
