[Asia Economy Reporter Jong-il Park] Gangnam-gu (District Mayor Jeong Soon-gyun) signed a business agreement with Hongik University Public Design Research Center on the 3rd to create new value in the field of public design.
Through this agreement, both parties shared a consensus on realizing ‘The Connect city’ and agreed to hold forums, seminars, contests for the development of public design, as well as programs to strengthen the capabilities of public officials and residents.
‘The Connect city’ refers to a human- and value-centered design aimed at enhancing cultural publicness and aesthetics, rather than the existing form-centered design focused on economy and functionality.
