On the 4th, the government held an extraordinary Cabinet meeting and confirmed the supplementary budget plan containing these details. This supplementary budget consists of an expenditure increase of 8.5 trillion won and a revenue adjustment of 3.2 trillion won to cover the shortfall in tax revenue.

The government allocated 2.3 trillion won to strengthen and advance the quarantine system including infectious disease inspection, diagnosis, and treatment; 2.4 trillion won to support the recovery of small and medium-sized enterprises and small business owners affected by COVID-19; 3 trillion won for livelihood and employment stabilization to achieve early overcoming of COVID-19; and 800 billion won to support the recovery of the depressed local economy.
