Nongshim Supports Vulnerable Groups with 6,000 Boxes of Rice Noodles Amid COVID-19 School Meal Suspensions
[Asia Economy Reporter Choi Saeng-hye] Nongshim announced on the 4th that it will support 6,000 boxes of rice noodles for elderly living alone and vulnerable groups who are struggling due to the suspension of free meals caused by the spread of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
The rice noodles donated by Nongshim will be provided to elderly people in need in the Seoul area through the Community Chest of Korea.
A Nongshim official said, "We stepped up to support those who cannot even have basic meals due to the closure of welfare facilities," adding, "In particular, we decided to support rice noodle products made from rice and not fried in oil, which are easy to digest."
