[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunju Lee] The National Fire Agency announced on the 4th that the written exam for this year's new firefighter recruitment will be temporarily postponed.
The new firefighter recruitment exam was scheduled to be held on the 28th at 83 test centers across 17 cities and provinces nationwide, with approximately 50,000 candidates expected to take the test. Among them, 7,823 candidates were from Daegu and Gyeongbuk.
Considering the spread of COVID-19, the National Fire Agency will reschedule the postponed exam to be held after May.

The postponed exam dates will be posted on the websites of city halls, provincial offices, and city/provincial fire headquarters, and individual notifications will be sent to the candidates.
