One in Four LG PuriCare 360˚ Air Purifiers is the 'Pet' Model
Increase in Sales Due to Growing Pet Households

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Dongwoo Lee] LG Electronics announced on the 4th that one out of every four LG PuriCare 360˚ air purifiers sold this year was the 'Pet' model designed for pet-owning households.
LG Electronics analyzed that as the number of households with pets increases, sales of the Pet model, which features enhanced deodorization and pet hair and dust removal performance, have been steadily rising. According to the '2018 Pet Awareness Survey' released last year by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, there are 5.11 million pet-owning households in Korea, accounting for about 25% of all households.
The LG PuriCare 360˚ Pet model is equipped with a 'Total Care Pet Filter' that enhances deodorization performance. LG Electronics stated that its internal tests show this filter reduces harmful gases such as ammonia, acetaldehyde, and acetic acid?major components of pet waste odors?by 55% using visible light photocatalyst technology.
Additionally, when the Pet mode is activated, it removes approximately 35% more pet hair and dust compared to previous models. The attachable microfilter allows for easy removal of pet hair and dust stuck to the filter.
The Pet model incorporates functions for pets while retaining the advantages of the existing PuriCare 360˚. The 360˚ design helps to intake and purify air from multiple directions, playing a key role in reducing blind spots where air is not purified. The Clean Booster creates strong airflow with clean air to aid indoor air circulation.
