Gokseong-gun Launches Full-Scale 'Challenge Youth Startup Support' Initiative
Selection of Beneficiaries for Youth Startup and Youth Workshop Support Project
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] Gokseong-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on the 2nd that it has selected 13 existing entrepreneurs and 4 new entrepreneurs as beneficiaries of this year's youth startup and youth workshop support projects through the Youth Job Creation Committee.
The youth startup and youth workshop creation project aims to prevent young people from leaving due to lack of jobs and to attract young people from outside. It supports up to 15 million KRW per location within 90% of the project cost for remodeling, equipment purchase, rent, etc., for two years. The target beneficiaries are young people aged 18 to under 39 who reside in Gokseong-gun and wish to start a business.
For the existing entrepreneurs selected last year, 13 were reselected after confirming their business operation status, and second-year support is being implemented this year. New entrepreneurs were finally selected after passing the first document screening and the second presentation screening.
The Gokseong-gun Youth Job Creation Committee focused on evaluating the entrepreneur's capabilities, creativity of the business item, feasibility, and market competitiveness.
In addition, Gokseong-gun will launch various youth job projects in different fields this year. For young people majoring in technology and arts, who are relatively vulnerable to employment, the Art Factory Youth Apprentice Support Project is being prepared. Also, to help young people gain experience and knowledge at local cultural tourism sites, a support project for training experts in cultural tourism throughout the region is being promoted.
