Two New COVID-19 Cases Reported in Gwangju Within a Week
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Seon-gang] Two new cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed in Gwangju.
This comes one week after the ninth confirmed case was reported on the 23rd of last month.
According to the Nam-gu Public Health Center in Gwangju on the 2nd, A (48, female) and her son B (21), residents of Yangnim-dong, tested positive for COVID-19.
They visited the screening clinic at Chonnam National University Hospital for COVID-19 testing after showing suspected symptoms and were reported to have stayed at home afterward.
Chonnam National University notified the Nam-gu Public Health Center, which has jurisdiction over their residence, at around 11:20 PM the previous day upon confirmation of the positive results. The Nam-gu Public Health Center plans to transfer them to government-designated inpatient treatment beds and disinfect their residence and surrounding areas.
