Seven Eleven Launches 'Cantata Soft Cone'

The 'Seven Select Cantata Soft Cone' is a collaborative product with the domestic coffee brand Cantata. It features an affogato flavor made by mixing vanilla ice cream with Cantata coffee syrup, characterized by a smooth texture and rich coffee aroma. The price is 1,800 won.
To commemorate the launch of the 'Cantata Soft Cone,' Seven Eleven is holding a promotion this month where customers receive one free cone for every two purchased. Starting with the launch of the 'Cantata Soft Cone,' Seven Eleven plans to release at least one unique soft cone flavor every month.
The convenience store ice cream market has established cones as the trend. In the past, convenience store ice cream mainly consisted of popular and affordable products aimed at quenching thirst. However, as more people recently seek ice cream as a dessert, the focus has shifted to cones, which are relatively more expensive but offer a smoother enjoyment, according to Seven Eleven's analysis.
According to Seven Eleven, ice cream sales increased by 7.0% last year compared to the previous year, with cone-type products rising by 38.2%, showing a growth rate more than five times higher than the overall increase. The sales share of cone products, which was 28.7% in 2017, surged to 36.6% last year. Reflecting this trend, 10 out of the top 20 best-selling ice cream products at Seven Eleven last year were cone products, an increase of three from seven in 2017.
