This corresponds to the highest level 4 travel advisory issued by the United States.
On the 29th (local time), the State Department officially announced the travel ban on certain areas in South Korea previously announced by Vice President Mike Pence.
The State Department maintained a level 3 travel advisory advising against unnecessary travel to South Korea but specifically urged people not to travel to the Daegu region.
