Second COVID-19 Case Confirmed at Samsung Electronics Gumi Plant
[Asia Economy Reporter Changhwan Lee] A second confirmed case of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) has been reported at Samsung Electronics' Gumi plant.
According to the industry on the 29th, an employee of Samsung Electronics' Gumi 1 Plant (Network Business Division) tested positive for COVID-19 in the first test conducted the previous evening.
The employee is known to have traveled on a business trip to the Suwon plant last week. The company immediately conducted disinfection and quarantine at the Gumi 1 Plant and Suwon plant on the evening of the 19th. However, there are currently no plans to close additional plants.
