Sungdong-gu Office Employee Infected by Myeongseong Church Associate Pastor Tests Positive for COVID-19... District Office Building Closed
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] An employee of the Seongdong-gu Office in Seoul was confirmed as a COVID-19 positive case, leading to the closure of the district office on the 28th.
Seongdong-gu (Mayor Jung Won-oh) announced through its website on the morning of the same day, "One of the confirmed cases diagnosed in Gangdong-gu today is an employee of our Seongdong-gu Office," and stated, "The district office will be closed for 24 hours starting from 11:50 AM on the 28th."
The employee, a woman in her 40s, lives in the same apartment complex as the associate pastor of Myeongseong Church (located in Amsa-dong, Gangdong-gu), who was previously confirmed positive for COVID-19.
Gangdong-gu is currently conducting an epidemiological investigation into the movements of the associate pastor. Through CCTV footage, they identified a woman who shared the apartment elevator without wearing a mask and immediately placed her under self-quarantine. After specimen collection on the 27th, she was tested and confirmed positive.
