Daegu COVID-19 Cases Increase by 297 to Total 1,314... 7 Additional Cases Among Public Officials and Medical Staff
[Asia Economy Reporter Jeong Dong-hoon] The number of confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) in the Daegu area has surpassed 1,300.
According to Daegu City on the 28th, as of 9 a.m., the number of confirmed cases in Daegu increased by 297 compared to 9 a.m. the previous day, reaching a cumulative total of 1,314.
Among the newly confirmed cases that day were one public official (General Affairs Department, Dalseo District Office) and two educators (one staff member at Seonghwa Middle School in Bokhyeon-dong, Buk-gu, and one facility management staff member at Paldal Elementary School in Paldal-dong, Buk-gu).
Four medical personnel were also included: one nurse at Gwak Hospital in Sudong, Jung-gu; one caregiver at Hanshin Hospital in Naedang-dong, Seo-gu; one physical therapist at Daegu Health University Hospital in Dongcheon-dong, Buk-gu; and one nurse at Bogang Hospital in Jincheon-dong, Dalseo-gu. Additionally, one social welfare facility worker (caregiver at Nurim Daycare Center in Bangchon-dong) was newly confirmed.
