BNK Savings Bank Provides Financial Support to Self-Employed Affected by COVID-19
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Min-young] BNK Savings Bank, an affiliate of BNK Financial Group, announced on the 28th that it will promote a financial support program worth 10 billion KRW for local self-employed business owners affected by the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
Starting from the 2nd of next month, it will implement the ‘Emergency Loan for Self-Employed’ program, providing up to 10 million KRW per business at a special annual interest rate of 4.9% to local small business owners and self-employed individuals.
The support targets self-employed business owners operating within the Busan area, who can apply at the nearest BNK Savings Bank branch.
Customers applying for the self-employed exclusive product ‘Haetsal Loan’ will receive an interest rate discount of up to 2.0 percentage points annually, and businesses affected by the COVID-19 situation will also be supported with a repayment deferral of up to 12 months for installment loan repayments.

Additionally, a dedicated counter for self-employed business owners will be opened within branches, and the consulting system for resolving financial and management difficulties will be strengthened by expanding management consulting projects in cooperation with the Korea Inclusive Finance Agency.
