Gwangju City, Additional Recruitment for Small and Medium Enterprise Youth Employment Support Project
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Seon-gang] Gwangju Metropolitan City announced on the 27th that it will promote the ‘Strategic Industry and Knowledge Service Industry SME Youth Employment Support Project.’
This project aims to resolve youth unemployment, alleviate manpower shortages in local SMEs, and reduce wage gaps with large corporations to prevent the outflow of excellent local talent. Since October last year until September 2021, it has supported the labor costs of 134 youths in 91 local companies, encouraging youth to settle locally and supporting the growth of regional companies.
This year, by recruiting 7 additional companies, it will support up to 1.6 million KRW per month per youth (80% of labor costs) until the end of this year.
It plans to provide basic education for participating youths, consulting to check difficulties, and field activity support funds to help them work stably and continuously.
Local strategic industry and knowledge service industry companies wishing to participate can apply by mail or visit Gwangju Technopark from the 4th to the 6th of next month. For more detailed information such as eligibility, refer to the announcement posted on the Gwangju Technopark website.
