POSCO Provides 5 Billion KRW Support to Prevent the Spread of COVID-19 Damage
[Asia Economy Reporter Hwang Yoon-joo] POSCO Group announced on the 27th that it will provide 5 billion KRW to prevent the spread of COVID-19 damage domestically and to achieve early recovery.
POSCO Group has its headquarters and multiple business sites located in Gyeongsangbuk-do, one of the regions most severely affected by COVID-19, and has decided to participate in efforts to prevent the spread of the current COVID-19 situation and provide support.
The relief fund consists of 4 billion KRW from POSCO and 1 billion KRW from POSCO International, POSCO Engineering & Construction, POSCO Chemical, POSCO Energy, and POSCO ICT, totaling 5 billion KRW. The donation will be used through the National Disaster Relief Association for medical relief supplies such as hand sanitizers and masks, daily necessities for those in self-quarantine, and for quarantine and prevention activities.
Chairman Choi Jeong-woo stated, "Group employees have united their hearts to support medical staff working hard to recover from COVID-19 damage and local citizens striving to overcome the crisis."
