Amorepacific Group Donates 500 Million KRW for COVID-19 Damage Relief Fund
[Asia Economy Reporter Yujin Cho] Amorepacific Group donated a total of 500 million KRW worth of cash and in-kind contributions to the Community Chest of Korea on the 27th to participate in preventing the spread of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) and recovering from its damage.
Amorepacific Group's donation will mainly be used for medical staff in the Daegu-Gyeongbuk region, which has been most severely affected by COVID-19. Of the 500 million KRW, 300 million KRW in cash will be used to purchase medical supplies such as protective suits, gloves, and thermometers, while in-kind contributions worth 200 million KRW, consisting of Vital Beauty Myeongjaksu products that help strengthen immunity, will be delivered to medical staff in Daegu-Gyeongbuk.
Seokyung Bae, CEO and Chairman of Amorepacific Group, stated, “As COVID-19 has entered a serious phase, all citizens must unite their efforts,” adding, “Amorepacific Group will do its best to help the victims and their families, especially the medical staff who are working hard on the front lines, to overcome the current crisis.”
