Two Confirmed Cases at Sincheonji Accommodation in Gwacheon City... Scheduled Transfer to Suwon Medical Center Negative Pressure Ward
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Ga-yeon] On the 26th, the first confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) occurred in Gwacheon-si, Gyeonggi Province.
Kim Jong-cheon, mayor of Gwacheon-si, stated on his Facebook post that "two male confirmed cases in their 20s have been identified in Gwacheon-si."
The mayor added, "They are residents of the Shincheonji accommodation in front of the Youth Training Center," and "We will inform you of their movement paths as soon as the epidemiological investigation is confirmed."
Gwacheon City Hall also sent safety alert messages to citizens at 6:09 PM and 6:20 PM on the same day to notify them of the confirmed cases.
It is known that the Shincheonji General Assembly headquarters is located in Gwacheon. According to Gwacheon City, the confirmed cases were living with 10 believers at the Shincheonji accommodation.
The two confirmed cases will be transferred to the negative pressure ward of Suwon Medical Center. The remaining eight tested negative for COVID-19 but will be placed under individual quarantine.

Gwacheon City plans to disclose information about the confirmed cases and their movement paths on the city hall website and Facebook once the epidemiological investigation is completed.
