Naju-si, All Suspected COVID-19 Cases Test Negative
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Han-hyuk] Naju City, Jeollanam-do (Mayor Kang In-gyu) announced on the 26th that soldier A from the local Air Force unit, who recently visited Daegu for vacation, and soldier B from the same barracks tested negative for COVID-19.
Earlier, on the 18th, two restaurant employees and two employees of the Korea Internet & Security Agency (KISA), who had been tested after contact with the 10th confirmed case from Busan visiting the Innovation City, also tested negative.
Soldier A from the Air Force unit is known to have returned to the base on the 18th after spending vacation at his home in Daegu.
Due to the COVID-19 spread in the Daegu area, soldier A and soldier B were placed under self-quarantine within the unit starting from the 19th.
On the 24th, soldier A, who complained of a slight dry cough and chest discomfort, underwent X-ray and specimen tests at the health center screening clinic along with soldier B.
Fortunately, both soldiers tested negative.
The two restaurant employees who tested negative had contact with the 10th confirmed case from Busan on the 18th at a restaurant where the patient stopped for lunch in Naju Innovation City.
The 10th confirmed case from Busan visited the Korea Internet & Security Agency after lunch for a meeting, coming into contact with 13 people including employees and outsiders.
Among them, two residents of Naju were tested at the health center screening clinic and received negative results.
