Hoban Scholarship Foundation Awards 800 Million KRW in Scholarships to 240 Students
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Chun-hee] Hoban Scholarship Foundation announced on the 26th that it will provide a total of 800 million KRW in scholarships to about 240 students this year.
Due to the recent spread of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19), the foundation plans to deliver the first semester scholarships along with letters of encouragement to the scholarship recipients without holding a separate ceremony. This year, the Hoban Scholarship Foundation plans to support scholarships in various categories, including the ‘Hobanhoe Scholarship’ for nurturing future talents, the ‘International Exchange Scholarship’ for foreign students, and scholarships for students from financially disadvantaged families.
Kim Sang-yeol, Chairman of the Hoban Scholarship Foundation, conveyed through the letter of encouragement to the scholarship recipients, “I hope that with the Hoban Scholarship, students will dream bigger dreams, grow into outstanding talents, and eventually become individuals who contribute to their neighbors and society.”
