LG Yeonam Foundation Yeonam Institute of Technology, Ahn Seung-kwon Appointed as New President
[Asia Economy Reporter Changhwan Lee] LG Group announced that An Seung-kwon, former CEO of LG Science Park, was inaugurated on the 26th as the 12th president of Yeonam Institute of Technology under LG Yeonam Foundation.
President An is a technology expert who graduated from Seoul National University with a degree in Electronic Engineering and earned his master's and doctoral degrees from the same university's graduate school. After joining LG Electronics Central Research Institute in 1982, he served as head of the MC Business Division, Chief Technology Officer (CTO), chairman of the LG Technology Council, and CEO of LG Science Park, making him a prominent science and engineering background executive.
In his inauguration speech, President An said, "I will do my best to make Yeonam Institute of Technology a leading university that produces talent optimized for the Fourth Industrial Revolution era."
