Actor Kim Jeong-gyun to Marry KBS Talent Open Recruitment Peer Jeong Min-kyung in June
[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Kim Seul-gi] Actor Kim Jeong-gyun (54), who gained attention as a "divorced man" on SBS variety show "Burning Youth," which features stories of middle-aged stars, will marry his debut colleague Jung Min-kyung this June.
On the 25th, Kim Jeong-gyun said, "I will marry my actor colleague Jung Min-kyung this June. I was attracted to her good appetite and kind charm," adding, "The bride-to-be is a frugal person to the extent that she says all she needs is to be fed."
Kim Jeong-gyun is scheduled to make a surprise appearance as a secret guest on "Burning Youth," airing at 11 p.m. that day, to personally announce the wedding news.
Kim Jeong-gyun and Jung Min-kyung reportedly met through an actor colleagues' gathering and developed into a couple two years ago. They were both part of the 1991 KBS public recruitment class 14, alongside Lee Byung-hun, Son Hyun-joo, Kim Ho-jin, and Kim Jeong-nan.
Kim Jeong-gyun said, "I tried not to announce it due to the difficult national situation, but I am grateful for the congratulations."
Meanwhile, Kim Jeong-gyun became known to the public by playing the role of Cha Heon-seong in the 1992 KBS drama "Tomorrow is Love."
