Dead Body Found in Vacant Lot Near Ara Canal... Suspected Murder After Assault

On the 25th, the Incheon Western Police Station announced that they have arrested and are investigating A (27) on suspicion of murder.
A is suspected of assaulting his girlfriend B (29) to death at a villa in Gangseo-gu, Seoul, in early last month. It was investigated that he put B's body in a burlap sack and abandoned it in an empty lot near the Gyeongin Ara Waterway in Sicheon-dong, Seo-gu, Incheon.
The police began an investigation after B's body was found at the location around 10 a.m. that day, and arrested A at a villa in Gangseo-gu, Seoul, around 11:50 a.m.
B's body was found inside the burlap sack wearing clothes, and was in a considerably decomposed state.
The police confirmed A's movements and B's identity by checking CCTV footage around the place where the body was found.
