Damyang-gun Promotes Marketing Technology Support Project for Farm-Based Processed Products
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yukbong] Damyang-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Choi Hyung-sik) announced on the 25th that it has secured 100 million KRW in national funds to promote the ‘2020 Farmhouse Processed Product Marketing Technology Support Project’ to ensure the early establishment of operations following the construction of the Agricultural Products Comprehensive Processing Center and to enhance the competitiveness of small-scale processing startup farmers.
The marketing technology support project aims to discover outstanding processed products directly produced by farms, organize distribution and sales, increase distribution competitiveness in the consumer market, and strengthen the marketing capabilities of local agricultural management entities.
The project includes marketing-related education, expert consulting to resolve farmers’ difficulties, and support for promotion through online and offline distribution channels.
Applications can be submitted by filling out the application form and submitting it to the Rural Resources Department of the Agricultural Technology Center or the agricultural counseling offices in each town and township by the 13th of next month.

An official from the Agricultural Technology Center stated, “Experts will participate throughout the entire project process, from project planning to education, promotion, and sales activities, to collect and analyze the problems of small-scale processing farmers and establish detailed plans next month.” He added, “We hope for active participation from existing processing farmers interested in marketing and farmers interested in using the Agricultural Products Comprehensive Processing Center.”
