Hyundai Department Store Group Introduces Electronic Voting System to All Listed Affiliates
[Asia Economy Reporter Seungjin Lee] Hyundai Department Store Group is introducing an electronic voting system, recognized as a shareholder-friendly policy.
Hyundai Department Store Group announced on the 25th that starting from this year's general shareholders' meeting, it will implement the electronic voting system across all seven listed affiliates: Hyundai Department Store, Hyundai Home Shopping, Hyundai Green Food, Handsome, Hyundai Livart, Hyundai HCN, and Everdigm.
The electronic voting system allows shareholders to exercise their voting rights online without attending the shareholders' meeting in person. It is a representative shareholder-friendly policy that encourages active participation of minority shareholders.
First, Hyundai Department Store plans to provide detailed procedures and methods related to electronic voting through the announcement of the shareholders' meeting convening notice on the 25th.
With the introduction of this electronic voting system, Hyundai Department Store shareholders can exercise their voting rights electronically via the Korea Securities Depository website for 10 days from February 15 until the day before the shareholders' meeting (March 24). Shareholders of each listed company, including Hyundai Home Shopping, Hyundai Green Food, Handsome, Hyundai Livart, Hyundai HCN, and Everdigm, will also be able to participate in the same manner for 10 days starting 11 days before their respective shareholders' meetings.
The electronic voting records of these shareholders will be counted toward the quorum on the day of each company's shareholders' meeting, and the results of the meetings can also be confirmed on the Korea Securities Depository electronic voting website.

A Hyundai Department Store Group official stated, “We have decided to introduce the electronic voting system to all listed affiliates,” adding, “We plan to continue expanding communication with shareholders and the market and to actively pursue shareholder-friendly policies.”
