[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] Gwangyang City Public Health Center announced that, due to the increase in domestic 'COVID-19' cases, it will temporarily suspend medical services (general, Korean medicine, dental) and vaccinations starting from the 24th to expand the operation of screening clinics to prevent the spread of community infections.
The health center's duties are divided into various health projects such as health promotion, mental health, dementia prevention, infectious disease prevention, as well as general medical services including medical treatment, issuance of various health certificates, and vaccinations.
Among these, except for the ongoing tasks of each health project, general medical services including medical treatment (general, dental, Korean medicine) and vaccination services will be temporarily suspended to focus on preventing the community spread of 'COVID-19'.
Jung Seonju, Director of Health Promotion, said, "Although it may cause some inconvenience, we ask that you use hospitals, clinics, and the Jungma Integrated Health Branch for medical treatment and vaccinations," and added, "For COVID-19 prevention, please follow personal hygiene rules such as washing hands with soap for more than 30 seconds and covering your mouth and nose with your sleeve when coughing, and those with respiratory symptoms such as coughing must wear masks."
